Vortex Tool Company was founded in 1992 by Ron and Matt Serwa to continue a family tradition of manufacturing cutting tools for the woodworking market. Its product program includes solid-carbide router tooling, compression and spiral cutters, insert tooling and custom cutting solutions for wood, plastics and industrial CNC applications.

Manufacturing, sharpening, retipping and technical support are based in Schofield, Wisconsin. Vortex also develops custom tooling for difficult applications and supports production users with in-house resharpening, retipping and application-specific tool design.
