Right-Size Packaging for Small-to-Medium Furniture, Cabinet, Panel & Batch-One Workflows

The SCM Cut C 100 is an automatic right-size cardboard packaging machine for manufacturers that need flexible box production without stepping into the higher-output Cut C 200 platform. It helps packaging departments reduce carton inventory, reduce filler material, handle mixed product sizes, and create custom cardboard boxes around actual product dimensions at the end of the production line.

Key Advantages

The Cut C 100 is the right packaging conversation when a small-to-medium manufacturer has too many carton sizes, too much filler material, too much manual packaging labour, and too much variability in shipped product dimensions.

Right-Size Box Production

Produces custom cardboard boxes around the product size so shops can reduce wasted cardboard and avoid forcing parts into standard cartons.

Small-to-Medium Packaging Fit

Designed for shops that need batch-one flexibility and right-size packaging without oversizing the machine for higher-volume production.

Reduced Carton Inventory

Fanfold and sheet cardboard feeding can reduce the need to store and handle many pre-made carton formats in the packaging area.

Barcode / Scanbox Workflow

Operators can retrieve box formats by interface, barcode, or optional Scanbox dimension capture depending on the selected configuration.

Applications

Furniture & Kit Furniture Packaging

Strong fit for assembled furniture, kit furniture, flat-pack furniture, shelves, storage systems, and mixed-size furniture products.

Cabinet & Closet Components

Useful for cabinet doors, shelves, drawer parts, closet verticals, finished ends, filler panels, panels, and mixed cabinet orders.

Batch-One Packaging

Supports just-in-time custom boxes where products are different in size and format from order to order or batch to batch.

End-of-Line Packaging

Fits packaging departments where finished goods need to be measured, boxed, labelled, and moved toward shipping without slowing production flow.

Machine Information

The SCM Cut C 100 is part of SCM’s Cut C range of automatic cardboard packaging solutions. It is designed to produce custom right-size boxes for products that vary by size, format, customer order, or production batch. This makes it a strong fit for small-to-medium furniture, cabinet, panel, millwork, closet, storage, and eCommerce operations that need a cleaner end-of-line packaging process.

Instead of storing dozens of pre-made carton sizes and filling empty space with packaging material, the Cut C 100 produces a box around the actual product dimensions. This supports a leaner packaging workflow, less storage space for box SKUs, reduced filler material, and better handling for mixed-size production.

The Cut C 100 is positioned below the Cut C 200. It is the better fit when the customer needs right-size packaging and batch-one flexibility but does not require the higher-output C 200 platform. The safe publishable production data includes 2 boxes per minute, 250–750 boxes per day in batch-one production, and 750–1250 boxes per day in batch production.

The machine creates the folds and outline of the cardboard box using longitudinal cutting and creasing units plus a transverse unit. The Cut C 100 uses 7 cutting and creasing groups as standard, with an optional 12-group configuration for producing up to two boxes side by side. It also supports standard single sheet or fanfold feeding, standard 2–3 fanfolds side by side, and optional automatic selector-introducer feeding up to 8 fanfolds.

For Titan, the Cut C 100 should be positioned as the practical SCM right-size packaging solution for small-to-medium manufacturers. It is not a panel saw or beam saw. It is an end-of-line packaging system for reducing carton chaos, filler material, packaging labour, and slow manual boxing around variable-size products.

Packaging Workflow Positioning

Right-Size Packaging

Best when products vary in size and standard carton inventory creates wasted cardboard, filler material, and avoidable handling labour.

Small-Batch Production

Best when packaging needs to follow mixed production batches without requiring a larger high-output packaging line.

Batch-One Manufacturing

Best when every order may have a different product size and packaging needs to be generated directly around product dimensions.

Cut C 100 vs Cut C 200 Positioning

SCM Cut C 100

Best for small-to-medium companies needing flexible right-size packaging, batch-one support, 2 boxes/min productivity, and practical end-of-line packaging control.

SCM Cut C 200

Best for medium-to-large companies needing higher output, 4 boxes/min productivity, stronger automation, automatic carton-thickness adjustment, and heavier line integration.

Technical Features

The Cut C 100 is a configurable automatic cardboard packaging machine. Final specifications depend on sheet or fanfold feeding, selector configuration, longitudinal unit count, Scanbox package, Active Box PRO software package, Glue Force requirements, label printer integration, carton type, packaging workflow, and ERP or production-system integration.
