SCM DMC SD 60
SCM DMC SD 60 Wide-Belt Sanding & Calibrating Machine
A compact production wide-belt sanding and calibrating machine for MDF, chipboard, solid wood, veneered panels, painted panels, cabinet components, furniture parts, and finishing preparation.
Compact Production Sanding for Cabinet, Furniture & Panel Shops
The SCM DMC SD 60 gives woodworking shops a stronger and more versatile sanding platform than entry-level wide-belt machines while staying more compact and accessible than the larger SD 70, SD 90, and DMC Eurosystem platforms. It is built for shops that need reliable calibration, finish sanding, pre-sanding, and surface preparation across MDF, chipboard, solid wood, veneer, and painted surfaces.
Key Advantages
The SD 60 supports compact production sanding with 1100 mm or 1350 mm working widths, 2150 mm sanding belts, RR / RCS / RRCS configurations, MESAR sectional-pad capability, program storage, and stable panel transport.
Compact Production Platform
Designed for shops that need a serious wide-belt sanding upgrade without oversizing the machine footprint or investment.
1100 or 1350 mm Width
Two working-width options let shops match the machine to part size, floor space, panel format, and production requirements.
Configuration Flexibility
RR, RCS, and RRCS layouts support calibration, heavier stock removal, combination sanding, pad finishing, and one-pass workflows.
Finish-Sanding Capability
MESAR sectional-pad capability, stable transport, and program control support better surface consistency on veneer, MDF, and painted panels.
Applications
MDF & Chipboard Sanding
Processes MDF and chipboard components for cabinet boxes, closet systems, furniture parts, painted components, and panel production.
Solid Wood Calibration
Supports repeatable thickness preparation, calibration, and surface consistency for solid wood parts and production components.
Veneered Panel Sanding
With the correct roller and pad configuration, the SD 60 supports controlled veneer sanding where surface pressure matters.
Painted Surface Finishing
Fits painted panels, primer sanding, lacquer preparation, pre-sanding, cabinet-door finishing, and finishing-department work.
Machine Information
The SCM DMC SD 60 is a compact production wide-belt sanding and calibrating machine designed for shops that need reliable surface preparation across MDF, chipboard, solid wood, veneer, and painted materials. It is a strong fit for cabinet manufacturers, furniture shops, millwork producers, MDF component manufacturers, veneer shops, painted-panel departments, and general woodworking production.
The SD 60 is positioned as a practical step-up machine in the SCM/DMC wide-belt range. It gives shops stronger sanding consistency, reduced hand-sanding dependency, improved finishing preparation, and a controlled sanding process across everyday cabinet, furniture, millwork, and panel components.
Core technical data includes 1100 mm or 1350 mm working width, 4–170 mm working thickness, 1115 mm sanding belt width on the 1100 mm model, 1370 mm sanding belt width on the 1350 mm model, 2150 mm sanding belt length, 11 kW / 15 hp sanding motor power on first and second sanding groups, and 4.5 / 9 m/min feed belt speed.
Depending on the final machine composition, the SD 60 can be reviewed in RR, RCS, or RRCS configuration families. The RR version is suited to heavier stock removal, calibration, narrow workpieces, frames, doors, and window components. The RCS version is positioned for flexible calibration and finishing in a single pass. The RRCS version adds multi-stage sanding capability for more demanding production and finishing requirements.
Configuration Guide
RR
Best for heavier stock removal, calibration, solid wood sanding, narrow workpieces, frames, and door or window components.
RCS
Best for flexible calibration and finish sanding in a single pass, especially for common cabinet and furniture sanding workflows.
RRCS
Best for multi-stage sanding with stronger calibration plus combination sanding and pad-finishing capability.
Technical Features
The DMC SD 60 is a configurable wide-belt sanding and calibrating machine. Final specifications depend on the selected working width, RR / RCS / RRCS configuration, sanding heads, roller package, pad package, control package, feed package, and finishing options.
