S-Series Dust Collector Enclosureless indoor dust collection for wood and sawdust applications

The Nederman S-Series is an enclosureless indoor bag-filter dust-collector family for wood and sawdust applications, available as S-500, S-750 and S-1000. Model data spans 1,500–5,000 CFM with antistatic Superbag filtration, galvanized-steel construction, configurable shaker cleaning and waste-collection options.

Airflow stays model-specific

S-500, S-750 and S-1000 have separate airflow and static-pressure data.

Shaker is configurable

Manual, mechanical and automatic shaker kits are available for all three sizes.

NFPA scope matters

Installation must follow applicable combustible-dust requirements, including the relevant NFPA 660 provisions and site conditions.

Start with the process

Three collector sizes, one enclosureless architecture, different airflow and filter envelopes.

The S-Series family is aimed at indoor wood/sawdust collection and general dust collection where feasible. Exact machine demand and system resistance determine which model fits.

Installation class

Indoor enclosureless route

The S-Series is an indoor, enclosureless collector for qualifying combustible-dust applications when the installation meets applicable requirements.

Application fit

Woodworking and light bulk dust processes where the exact airflow and combustible-dust conditions fit the S-Series envelope.

Applications include furniture, cabinetry, windows, doors, flooring, particleboard, MDF, building materials, marine and sawmill operations, plus general dust collection where feasible.

Woodworking

Cabinetry / millwork

Suitable applications include cabinetry and furniture dust collection.

Process

Routing / sawing / cutting

Typical woodworking uses include routing, sawing and cutting.

Material

Particleboard / MDF

Particleboard and MDF are included in the S-Series application scope.

Manufacturing

Single-cell manufacturing

Single-cell manufacturing is a supported use case.

System use

After-filter duty

After-filter duty can be considered where the system is engineered accordingly.

Boundary

Larger / higher-airflow systems

Applications above the S-Series airflow envelope require a different engineered collection solution.

Select from the process backwards

Machines → simultaneous airflow → system resistance → S-Series size → disposal → shaker package.

This sequence supports product qualification; final duct and combustible-dust system design remains project-specific.

Define machines

List dust-producing equipment and manufacturer extraction requirements.

Define simultaneous demand

Establish which extraction points operate together.

Define resistance basis

Qualified system design establishes the actual static-pressure requirement.

Select S-Series model

Match the model airflow and filter envelope to the project.

Close disposal + cleaning

Choose bags/barrel/bin where compatible and the appropriate shaker route.

Fan / static-pressure points

Do not turn family max airflow into a single operating point.

Static-pressure values are tied to specific airflow points and model fan packages.

NFPA 660 / combustible-dust application

Indoor combustible-dust applications require code-appropriate system design.

The S-Series is identified for qualifying combustible-dust applications as an indoor enclosureless collector. Final installation remains governed by applicable NFPA 660 provisions, local requirements and the actual dust/process conditions.

Application standard

NFPA 660 reference

The supplied S-Series installation framework references NFPA 660:2025 for enclosureless dust collectors.
