The SCM Startech 27 is a semi-automatic single-head multi-boring machine designed for accurate panel drilling in cabinet, furniture, closet, millwork, and casework production. It is positioned for shops that need better repeatability than manual drilling jigs, drill presses, or handheld boring methods, but do not need a full CNC drilling centre.

The machine is built around a 27-spindle boring head with 32 mm centre spacing, making it a strong fit for standard cabinet-system drilling, shelf-pin rows, construction holes, hardware drilling, hinge preparation, and repeated line-boring work. For shops using 32 mm construction logic, the Startech 27 provides a controlled and repeatable platform for day-to-day panel drilling.

SCM lists the Startech 27 with a 1096 × 407 mm worktable, 900 mm worktable height, 832 mm maximum drilling inter-axis, 70 mm maximum drilling head stroke, 60 mm maximum horizontal drilling height, 1025 mm maximum panel width under the beam structure, panel thickness capacity from 10 to 85 mm, and maximum tool diameter of 40 mm.

Operator setup features include quick-release spindle fittings, a nonius decimal scale, micrometric guide travel, 5-position revolving depth turret, and pneumatic head rotation at 0° / 45° / 90°. Optional devices can include servo-assisted down-stroke speed adjustment, a 45° horizontal drilling guide, a narrow-workpiece device, and hinge units depending on the final quoted configuration.
