Low-to-moderate dust volume
LW is intended for compact dust-collection applications with low-to-moderate dust volume.
Belfab LW is a compact open modular dust collector built around expandable filter modules and a separately selected blower. Configurations span one to six filter modules with 36 to 215 sq. ft. of filtration surface, 100% polyester needle-felt filter bags, self-cleaning filtration, and Standard or Hummer blower selections from 1,500 to 5,000 CFM.
Add filter modules to increase filtration surface without changing the LW product family.
Standard and Hummer blower rows have their own HP, CFM, suction, inlet, power and weight fields.
Collector placement, ducting, dust-hazard controls and installation requirements are closed against the process, site and applicable codes.
Start with the dust-collection problem
LW combines expandable filter modules with a separately selected blower. Filter area and blower performance are related selection decisions, but they remain distinct specifications.
LW is intended for compact dust-collection applications with low-to-moderate dust volume.
One through six modules increase filtration surface from 36 to 215 sq. ft.
Standard and Hummer blower selections carry their own airflow, suction, inlet, power and weight data.
LW is configured for push application.
Application fit
LW selection starts with the actual process, dust load, airflow requirement, system resistance, available space and disposal method.
Choose from one through six filter modules with 36 to 215 sq. ft. of filtration surface.
Published one-through-six-module configurations remain 130 inches high while width increases with module count.
Match the blower family, horsepower, airflow and suction to the process basis.
LW uses a push-application arrangement with the blower selected separately from the filter bank.
Five disposable plastic bags are included per module, with steel drums available as an alternate accessory route.
Collector placement, ducting, dust-hazard controls and code requirements are closed around the actual installation.
Select LW from the process backwards
Use the process requirements to establish airflow and resistance before choosing filter area, blower configuration and disposal.
Machines, dust source, existing extraction requirements and simultaneous-use scenario.
Use process/machine requirements rather than selecting only by motor horsepower.
System static pressure is project-specific and must be established through qualified system design.
Choose the one-to-six module filtration envelope appropriate to the application.
Match blower row, electrical configuration and dust-disposal method.
How LW works
LW uses self-cleaning bag filtration; service and cleaning procedures remain part of the supplied equipment documentation.
A selected Standard or Hummer blower provides the specified airflow and suction combination.
LW is configured for push application.
100% polyester needle-felt bags provide the filtration medium.
Dust is collected beneath the filter modules using the supplied disposable bags or an alternate selected disposal accessory.
Filter-module data
Filter area, physical dimensions and filter-bank weight increase with module count; blower data remains a separate selection.
| Filter modules | Filtration surface | Filter type | Cleaning | Dimensions W × D × H | Module weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 36 sq. ft. | 100% Polyester Needle Felt Bag | Self cleaning | 48 × 24 × 130 in. | 129 lb |
| 2 | 72 sq. ft. | 100% Polyester Needle Felt Bag | Self cleaning | 72 × 24 × 130 in. | 174 lb |
| 3 | 107 sq. ft. | 100% Polyester Needle Felt Bag | Self cleaning | 96 × 24 × 130 in. | 219 lb |
| 4 | 143 sq. ft. | 100% Polyester Needle Felt Bag | Self cleaning | 120 × 24 × 130 in. | 264 lb |
| 5 | 179 sq. ft. | 100% Polyester Needle Felt Bag | Self cleaning | 144 × 24 × 130 in. | 309 lb |
| 6 | 215 sq. ft. | 100% Polyester Needle Felt Bag | Self cleaning | 168 × 24 × 130 in. | 354 lb |
Hummer dimensional allowance: add 18 inches to both width and depth when a Hummer blower is selected. Blower weight remains separate from filter-bank weight.

Airflow / static-pressure relationship
The blower table defines performance selections; the installed duct network and system resistance are closed from the actual process and layout.
Published Standard and Hummer blower selections span 1,500 through 5,000 CFM.
Suction varies by blower selection and remains tied to the exact row being evaluated.
Filter surface is determined by the one-through-six-module configuration, independently of blower horsepower.
Filter media
The efficiency value remains tied to its stated 2.5-micron particle-size condition.
LW uses 100% polyester needle-felt filter bags across the one-through-six-module configurations.
