Membrane or Membrane-Less Cycles

Machine Information
The SCM Sergiani 3D Form is a professional 3D panel laminating press designed for shaped-panel production using veneer, PVC, or ABS. The machine can operate with membrane or membrane-less pressing cycles, with depressure and pressure cycles selected according to the product being pressed.
This makes the 3D Form a strong fit for cabinet door manufacturers, routed MDF door producers, thermofoil and 3D laminated door shops, furniture-front manufacturers, decorative panel producers, veneer laminating operations, and shops producing shaped drawer fronts or cabinet fronts.
The intermediate flange is one of the main quality features. It uses vacuum and pressurized air to achieve high definition on complex shapes. The vacuum cycle brings the membrane into contact with the coating, helping reduce creasing risk and improve PVC heating uniformity. The second pressing cycle introduces pressurized air from the flange to improve definition on complex shaped profiles.
The standard 3D Form platform is different from the higher-productivity Sergiani 3D Form HP. The standard machine is best positioned for manufacturers that need professional 3D lamination and flexible pressing capability, but do not necessarily need the HP model’s higher thrust, Flexy Pin automation, or multi-tray production layout.
SCM lists two standard models: the 3D Form 25-14 with 2340 × 1340 mm platens, 2240 × 1240 mm maximum panel size, 200 tons of thrust, 60 mm working chamber height, 5 kg/cm² pressure, and 4 × 140 mm pistons; and the 3D Form 30-14 with 2840 × 1340 mm platens, 2740 × 1240 mm maximum panel size, 300 tons of thrust, 60 mm working chamber height, 5 kg/cm² pressure, and 6 × 140 mm pistons.
