The Vortex Tool INS-9358 is the replacement solid-carbide insert for the Vortex 7964 MDF inside-door roughing body. It forms the small-bead inside profile with a verified 1/4-inch radius and allows the cutter body to be serviced without replacing the complete tool.
Vortex positions the 7964 system as part of a multiple-pass MDF door workflow. The roughing body removes the inside-frame material and creates the bead profile, after which a compatible inside-corner cleaning tool can refine the square-corner appearance. A raised-panel cutter may then be used to complete the visual effect of a five-piece assembled door.
Two INS-9358 inserts are used in the 7964 body. Correct seating, clean insert pockets, undamaged 67115 screws, and the proper T15 Torx driver are essential when replacing the inserts. This listing is for the replacement insert only; the 7964 body and complete INS-9358-KIT are separate products.
