The open O-flute design provides chip space for free cutting and good chip formation in compatible plastics. Its low-helix upcut geometry lifts chips toward extraction while applying upward axial force, so secure workholding is essential.
The right-hand Z2 tool is manufactured from HW solid carbide and carries no coating. Correct collet condition, minimum practical projection, runout control, extraction, feed rate, spindle speed, pass depth and chip evacuation are essential for limiting rubbing, heat, melting and chip rewelding.
