Flat Center-Point
The special flat center-point is designed to support high-quality blind holes and help avoid centre-point marking in low-thickness panels.

Left-hand VHW solid-carbide dowel drill engineered for precise blind-hole drilling in natural and pressed wood, veneered panels, chipboard, HDF, laminate, MDF, and related wood-based panel materials. The L119 geometry combines two flutes with two rounded reinforced spurs and a special flat center-point for clean hole quality, including low-thickness panels.
Solid-carbide spiral drilling geometry with two flutes, two rounded reinforced spurs, and a special flat center-point developed for clean, accurate blind holes in wood and panel materials.
For compatible CNC machining centres and automatic drilling machines accepting the Klein 10×30 mm shank system with height-adjustment screw.
The Klein L119.050.L is a left-hand VHW dowel drill with a solid-carbide spiral portion for precision drilling in natural wood, pressed wood, veneered materials, chipboard, HDF, laminate, MDF, plywood, and related panel products. The exact published configuration is D=5 mm, B=30 mm, L=70 mm, and S=10×30 mm.
Klein specifies a special Z=2+2 execution with two cutting flutes, two rounded reinforced spurs, and a flat center-point. This geometry is intended to improve hole quality and is particularly useful when drilling low-thickness panels, where the flat centre and rounded spurs help avoid unwanted marks around the hole.
The drill is made with Klein's exclusive carbide and mirror-finish quality to reduce friction and support clean, smooth cutting with extended performance. A height-adjustment screw is included in the shank design. For Weeke machines, Klein lists the special screw Z051.505.R as an on-request accessory rather than a standard included component.
Technical Specifications
The special flat center-point is designed to support high-quality blind holes and help avoid centre-point marking in low-thickness panels.
Two rounded reinforced spurs work with the two-flute geometry to define the hole perimeter cleanly across compatible wood and panel materials.
Klein specifies exclusive solid carbide with mirror-finish quality to reduce friction and support clean, smooth cutting and longer service performance.
Confirm that the boring unit or CNC drilling spindle accepts the exact 10×30 mm shank and left-hand rotation required by L119.050.L. Verify diameter, drilling depth, spindle direction, tool projection, runout, feed, and workpiece support before production. The standard shank includes a height-adjustment screw; the special Weeke-machine screw Z051.505.R is listed by Klein only on request and should not be treated as included unless separately supplied.
Klein L119.050.L combines a 5 mm solid-carbide drilling diameter, 30 mm cutting length, 10×30 mm shank, 70 mm total length, and left-hand rotation with specialized Z=2+2 blind-hole geometry.
The flat center-point, rounded reinforced spurs, two-flute spiral section, and polished VHW construction make the L119 a precision-focused choice for automatic boring and CNC drilling across a broad range of wood-based panel materials.
