Royce Ayr Solid Carbide Beading Router Bit - 3/8" Dia x 1/16" Radius x 3/8" Shank
2-Flute Beading
Router Bit
Solid-carbide, right-hand beading router bit designed for decorative profiles in MDF, solid wood, and plastics. Its 3/8-inch diameter, 1/16-inch profile radius, 3/8-inch shank, and 2-1/2-inch overall length combine with 10-degree flares to support line-free overlaps in MDF door machining.
Main Product Description
The Royce Ayr 2-Flute Beading Router Bit R68-02001 is engineered for producing decorative beading profiles in MDF, solid wood, and compatible plastics. Its 0.3750-inch cutting diameter and 0.0625-inch profile radius provide a compact format for MDF door details, moulding work, and repeatable CNC profile routing.
Royce Ayr specifies 10-degree flares intended to provide line-free overlaps in MDF doors. The two-flute geometry and 1 mm small diameter support controlled profile formation when the tool is matched to suitable spindle speed, feed rate, toolpath overlap, and workholding.
The 0.375-inch shank and 2.500-inch overall length require a compatible precision collet or approved toolholder. Before production, verify collet condition, runout, right-hand spindle rotation, tool projection, spindle speed, feed rate, depth of cut, workholding, material suitability, and extraction.
Best Fit Applications
Product Highlights
1/16-Inch Beading Radius
The 0.0625-inch profile radius supports fine decorative beading details in MDF, solid wood, and compatible plastic materials.
10-Degree Flared Profile
The flared geometry is designed to support line-free overlaps when machining decorative profiles in MDF door production.
Compact 3/8-Inch Tool Format
The matching 3/8-inch diameter and shank provide secure precision toolholding for repeatable CNC profile-routing operations.
Compatibility & Installation Notes
Confirm that the CNC router spindle or toolholder accepts an exact 3/8-inch (9.525 mm) shank and provides sufficient clearance for the 2-1/2-inch (63.5 mm) overall length and finished beading profile. Inspect the collet and nut, minimize unsupported tool projection, verify right-hand rotation and runout, and establish spindle speed, feed rate, step-over, depth of cut, workholding, and extraction according to the material, machine, and approved shop procedures.
Improve Fine Beading Consistency
The Royce Ayr 2-Flute Beading Router Bit R68-02001 provides a solid-carbide solution for fine decorative beading profiles in MDF, solid wood, and compatible plastics. Its 3/8-inch diameter, 1/16-inch radius, 3/8-inch shank, and 2-1/2-inch overall length suit repeatable CNC profiling in MDF door and millwork production.
Two-flute cutting geometry and 10-degree flares help produce controlled profile transitions and line-free overlaps when the tool is correctly held and operated within suitable machining parameters.
