SCM Class F 520 / Class F 410 Surface Planer Jointers
Professional long-table jointers for accurate reference faces, straight edges, glue-joint preparation, wide solid-wood stock, and dependable daily surfacing in cabinet, furniture, millwork, door, and window production.
Professional Class-series surfacing with two working-width and table-length choices.
The SCM Class F 520 and Class F 410 are professional surface planer jointers built to establish flat reference faces and straight edges before material moves into thicknessing, ripping, moulding, CNC machining, gluing, assembly, or finishing.
The F 520 provides a 520 mm working width and 2750 mm total table length for wider boards and larger components. The F 410 provides a 410 mm working width and 2610 mm total table length for shops that want a more compact Class-series footprint without giving up professional long-table support.
Both machines use a 120 mm cutterblock with four standard knives and can be configured through HSS, TERSA, or Xylent cutterhead paths, with motor, control, guarding, dust extraction, and regional electrical details confirmed for the selected package.

Capability Matrix
Production Modes
Use the selected Class F model to establish reliable reference geometry before every downstream solid-wood operation.
Mode 01
Face Jointing
Flatten the first reference face on hardwood, softwood, cabinet stock, furniture components, and architectural material.
Mode 02
Edge Jointing
Establish straight reference edges on rails, stiles, frame stock, trim, long boards, and repeated components.
Mode 03
Glue-Joint Preparation
Prepare clean mating edges for tabletops, furniture panels, doors, frames, and other solid-wood assemblies.
Mode 04
Long-Stock Support
Use the extended tables to support straightening and surfacing work on long solid-wood stock and components.
Mode 05
Cutterhead-Matched Surfacing
Select HSS, TERSA, or Xylent according to knife-change preference, finish expectations, noise, chip formation, and tooling strategy.
Production Advantages
Professional Capacity Without Moving Directly to the Flagship Platform
The Class F range combines width choice, long-table support, cutterhead flexibility, and available operator-focused features.
Two Width Choices
Select the F 520 for wider boards and larger components, or the F 410 where 410 mm capacity better matches the shop’s material mix and floor plan.
Smart Lifter Protection
SCM’s Smart Lifter guarding is an available or package-dependent feature designed to support cutterhead coverage and operator ergonomics.
HSS, TERSA, or Xylent Path
Build the cutterhead package around baseline knife service, faster knife changes, or spiral-insert tooling and finish priorities.

Compact Surfacing
Nova / Minimax Jointer Class
Suitable for smaller shops, shorter stock, lower-volume preparation, and more compact equipment requirements.
Class F 410
Compact Professional Class Platform
Provides 410 mm working width and 2610 mm total table length for professional surfacing where the wider F 520 is not required.
SCM Class F 520 / F 410
Professional Width-Selectable Jointer Range
Two working-width choices, long surfacing tables, a 120 mm cutterblock, and HSS, TERSA, or Xylent configuration paths.

Production Environments
Where the Class F 520 / F 410 Fits
For professional shops that need dependable solid-wood surfacing without moving directly into the full flagship platform.
Cabinet & Furniture Shops
Face-frame stock, hardwood rails and stiles, tabletops, custom panels, furniture blanks, legs, and premium components.
Millwork, Door & Window Shops
Long stock, frame material, rails, stiles, trim, door parts, window components, and architectural solid wood.
Solid-Wood Production
Dedicated face jointing, edge jointing, stock flattening, glue-up preparation, and reference-surface workflows.
Professional Reference-Surface Preparation
Select the working width and cutterhead path around the real stock mix.
The Class F 520 and F 410 give professional solid-wood shops a clear choice between wider capacity and a more compact footprint while maintaining long-table support and Class-series construction.
Accurate face and edge preparation creates the reference geometry used by thickness planers, saws, moulders, shapers, CNC equipment, glue-up stations, assembly, sanding, and finishing departments.
Final configuration should confirm model choice, stock width and length, material species, cutterhead preference, motor package, Smart Lifter and operator options, dust extraction, electrical and CSA requirements, installation, training, warranty, and service.
