The SCM Gabbiani ST is a production-focused automatic horizontal beam saw designed for manufacturers that need efficient panel cutting with rear loading and streamlined material flow. Its PC/PLC-controlled single-blade system is designed to cut solid wood panels, panel stacks, chipboard, MDF, multilayer panels, plywood panels, and fibre panels.

The machine’s rear loading platform helps stage and lift panel stacks into the cutting cycle, with SCM listing a maximum stack height of 600 mm on the loading platform with support beams. The selectable air-blowing table allows individual table sections to be activated only where required, improving panel sliding while reducing the risk of cut panels accidentally falling from the table.

The Gabbiani ST 115 offers cutting lengths of 3200, 3800, or 4500 mm, cutting depth on platform of 1850 or 2200 mm, 115 mm blade projection, saw carriage speed from 0 to 135 m/min with optional 0 to 150 m/min, pusher speed from 0 to 70 m/min with optional 0 to 90 m/min, and main blade motor options from 9 kW up to 18 kW.

For higher productivity and operator control, the Gabbiani ST can be positioned with SAW-SET electronic tool adjustment, optimized blade-height control, adaptive saw-carriage speed control, controlled-axis pressure beam, Sav€nergy standby mode, Telesolve remote service, and integration with SCM’s Flexstore ELR automatic storage system.
